I captured this conversational car ride during Trisha and Kiko’s wedding back in March. This image was awarded fourth place in the Silhouettes, Shadows and Good Light category in WPJA’s most recent competition. Whoohoo!! We’re so stoked!!! Many thanks to Trisha and Kiko for letting me hitch a ride to the reception in the old Volvo station wagon. (Lovingly referred to as “Big Beige”)

Here are a few of my faves from Veronica and Kevin’s wedding on August 25th. They are such a vibrantly relaxed couple. (The kind of combo you wouldn’t think could happen, but I think describes them well.)
I got the pleasure of not only being their invitation designer, but also a photographer. (They run a small wedding videography company here in Kansas City called Saffron Sky.) Their reception was held in the more recent addition to the Boulevard Brewery. A beautifully modern venue, with minimal industrial decor and a wonderful KC skyline view. At the end of the night, we were invited to try a few of their beers. (Probably the freshest possible!) Bob’s 47 was a delicious favorite of ours.
