Firstly, Aubrey and Chris are addictively in love, and it’s evident in every gesture. Second, they have a contagious energy that is quite fun to be around. Some neat sideline info is that she’s a roller derby chick and a he’s a drummer in a band called Pomeroy. (I’ve always wanted to do roller derby, but then I have flash backs to Jr. High basketball and think, I might not be the most athletic gal for the job.)
Some wedding day details: They will be getting married at the Legacy Christian Church out at 100th and Antioch, with their reception at the Overland Park Convention Center. Also, their colors will be mostly brown with accents of bright green and a lot of their details were unselfishly being planned with the focus on their guests. They are such a spunky couple, and we really enjoyed chatting with them about their day, but more importantly, the unique elements of their relationship that could help us narrate the next phase of their life.

Thunderstorms and a broken bridal shoe before the ceremony just added spontaneity to their story. Sherrie and James were married at Powell Gardens, at their beautiful chapel. Bridget’s flowers were also a lovely accent to the already wonderful, natural backdrop. I wish our cameras had audio, though, as thunder coincided with their vows making the mid-evening ceremony even more powerful.
We opted not to make them go full tilt in their wedding clothes, unlike their engagement shots. ;-) Sherrie’s two children were also a big part of the day, as it was not just two people coming together, but a new family forming. It was quite a beautiful and heart-felt day to be a part of, and we’re so grateful we were able to share it with them. We hope you enjoy the smattering of images from their wedding day. We hope you both had a wonderful time in Jamaica!
